What Is Honoring Miss Bee?

Honoring Miss Bee is a grief healing brand created for women who are years into their grief journey and still becoming, still navigating life after mother loss in the quieter, more complex seasons that the world rarely acknowledges.

Founded by Kinyatta E. Gray after losing her mother, the late Beverly E. Carroll, Miss Bee in 2018, this brand was built from lived experience. Not a textbook. Not a clinical framework. Life.

Everything here, the bath soaks, affirmation cards, mother loss greeting cards, grief journals, lotion bars, apparel, original music, blogs, and healing resources was created to meet the grieving woman exactly where she is. To give her something tangible to tend to herself with. To remind her that healing does not have a deadline and becoming does not have a finish line.

This is not a space that will rush you. It is a space that will meet you.

Our Approach To Grief

At Honoring Miss Bee we believe grief is not a problem to be solved. It is a natural and deeply personal response to love and loss and it cannot be rushed, confined to a timeline, or completed after five stages.

Our founder Kinyatta E. Gray found a pivotal shift in her own grief journey through the work of Megan Devine and her groundbreaking book on grief. That shift from trying to fix grief to learning to carry it with compassion shaped everything Honoring Miss Bee has become.

We take a human centered approach here. We acknowledge that experts offer many perspectives on grief and we respect that each woman's journey is her own. What we offer are not prescriptions. They are invitations to tend, to reflect, to remember, and to become at your own pace and on your own terms.

Whatever brought you here you are in the right place. 🐝

Mission

Honoring Miss Bee exists to support women navigating grief and becoming through a complete ecosystem of healing products, original music, grief education, and intentional self care rituals. From handcrafted bath soaks and affirmation cards to mother loss greeting cards, apparel, lotion bars, and grief journals, everything created under the Honoring Miss Bee name was designed to meet the grieving woman exactly where she is and walk alongside her as she tends to herself and becomes who she is meant to be.

Vision

A world where every grieving woman (especially the motherless daughter navigating later grief ) has access to products, music, and resources that honor her loss, validate her journey, and remind her that tending to herself is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

Values

Honoring Miss Bee is committed to showing up for the grieving woman with products and resources that are honest, intentional, and created from lived experience, not clinical distance. Every bath soak, every affirmation card, every song, every journal, every piece of apparel, every lotion bar carries the same commitment to meet her with grace, dignity, and genuine understanding of what grief actually costs and what healing actually requires.

Empowering: We believe every grieving woman has the capacity to heal, become, and tend to herself on her own terms and in her own time.

Healing: Everything we create is designed to support the whole woman her body, her spirit, and her becoming.

Nurturing: From the Chamomile Rose Sanctuary Soak to the Grief and Becoming Affirmation Cards — every product is an act of nurturing the woman who has been pouring into everyone else.

Compassion: We speak the language of lived grief, not clinical frameworks or five stage timelines. We meet her where she actually is.

Dignity: Every woman who walks through this brand deserves to be treated as the whole, complex, becoming person she is — not reduced to her loss.

Respect: We honor every grief journey as uniquely personal. There is no right way to grieve and no timeline that fits every woman.

Inclusion: Honoring Miss Bee was built for every woman who has loved and lost regardless of background, age, or where she is in her journey. All are welcomed here with grace.
