What is Honoring Miss Bee?

Honoring Miss Bee is a grief and becoming wellness platform for women navigating life after mother loss, especially in the years beyond the immediate sorrow. Founded by Kinyatta E. Gray, it was created for those who are no longer in the earliest days of grief, yet still find themselves becoming someone new while carrying what was lost.

This is a space where grief is spoken in real language and healing is approached with honesty, softness, and self-trust. Through thoughtfully created offerings including affirmation cards, journals, and ritual-based products such as bath soaks, Honoring Miss Bee provides tangible tools that support emotional regulation, reflection, and gentle forward movement.

Beyond products, the platform offers a collection of blogs, healing resources, supportive texts, and a digital memorial wall where love and remembrance can continue to live. Every element is designed to meet women in the quieter, more complex seasons of grief with depth, care, and intention.

Everything here exists to help women feel seen. Not to fix what cannot be fixed, but to create space to live, remember, and rebuild in a way that feels true.

Our Approach to Grief at Honoring Miss Bee

At Honoring Miss Bee, we embrace a Human-Centered approach to grief. While we acknowledge the pathological approach to grief, we firmly believe that grief is a natural response to loss that cannot be rushed, confined to a timetable or completed after stages. Most importantly, we don’t believe that grief is something to be fixed. Grief is deeply personal, and each individual's journey should be honored with love, patience, understanding, and kindness.

Our founder, Kinyatta E. Gray, found the most solace and understanding in her personal grief journey after reading It's Okay That You're Not Okay by Megan Devine. This pivotal moment led Kinyatta to view grief differently and embark on a path that emphasized carrying her grief with compassion, surrounded by love and support.

We hope that visitors to our website are open to exploring the various perspectives that "experts" offer on how bereaved individuals navigate grief. Ultimately, it is up to each of us to determine what resonates with our soul and supports our healing.
